I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
